Poetic Verses

To my departed mother

It is true, i shall no longer be able to kiss your cheek pull your nose and squeeze your chin
Your approval depicted by that sweet smile across your face spreading
Those eyes sparkling as you look up lovingly, yet motherly
That picture a masterpiece framed in the panes of my memory.

But it is hard to say farewell, adieu
Breaking many years of a strong bond that grew
Now as you from this world now depart
Have left an indelible mark in my heart.

You have taught me how to be strong
How to deal with many of those struggles that come along
You were a mountain of a woman, a mother
I salute you I love you and would have no other

Now rest in peace mammy Jasmine Verona
You were in my eyes a Tower of power
