Poetry By A CONTEMPORARY POET
Pandemic
In 2020 the world stood still, it felt like I
was in the matrix and nothing being reported
seemed real.
How can this one virus start wiping people out? no respect for the elderly
not even a little child.
Everything is so scary I did not know if the reports were true,
People could be carrying it and sitting next to you.
Is this chemical warfare because this happen so very quick.
Could the Chem trails in the sky be making all of us sick?
People stocking up on food,medications,and toilet paper.
God"s wrath is real and only he alone could save us.
Stores closing early, people losing there jobs.
the world is on lock down the only one to trust is God.
Family after family being stricken with grief.
If this PANDEMIC taught us anything is to rely on our beliefs.
People commiting suicide not being able to cope.
Taking drugs to numb the pain pills,booze,and dope.
Are we being punished because we turned away from Christ.
No one is safe in this PANDEMIC, LORD PLEASE SPARE OUR LIFE.
This PANDEMIC taught me to slow down appreciate life.
Every night I close my eyes and wake up the next day is a chance to get it right.
Now into year two still relying on God to get us through.
Please save us from the PANDEMIC and draw us closer to you.
