The Backyard Of My Life

The Glory Of The Golden Wish

The Glory Of The Golden Wish

Show me the way to paradise
Give me one good reason why i ought to stay
I was hanging around waiting for a miracle
Searching for somebody to set me free
Living dreams drenched in reality
Keeping my feet firmly fixed to the ground
Mystical music is playing but i never heard a single sound

Sailing on a crimson ship to the midnight sun
Faster then a bullet flying from a gun
The glory of the golden wish
My Valentine blows me a kiss
She said come with me we can carry on till tomorrow
Hand in hand we can both abandon sorrow
Turn off our troubles like turning off a light
As long as you and i are here everything will be alright

Visions of bejeweled white horses
Running across the snow white sands
Circles crashing coming in and out of nowhere
Looking for answers at the bottom of a wishing well
Where were you when that shooting star fell?
With the hour glass shattered time in pieces broken
Without speaking a word her heart had spoken

Traveling on a twilight train to the purple moon
Floating up to the sky like a pretty balloon
The glory of the golden wish
An arrow straight through my heart she could not miss
She said come and stand with me on the edge of tomorrow
Hand in hand as we beg steal and borrow
Burning bridges of burden we will be blinded by the light
As long as you and are here everything will be alright
