Love note to the Lemonade

That old man in my favorite bodega
swear he was writing a love note to the lemonade.
Me just waitin' for my regular Friday tuna sandwich.

The note was definitely in Spanish
as bachata music echoes in the ears.
Words written gentle, lyrical and definitely rhymed.

He swayed and neatly dance stepped to a cumbia beat
on new simulated hardwood parquet floor and
scribbling on the back of a folded register receipt.

He must have been singing about how cool and tart
cause mamacita's ice cold lemonade made him feel
some especiale kinda way.

I don't know much speaking Spanish and even
less about restocking and sorting the soda, but
30 years of Friday tuna and lemonade are good, as always.
