The Backyard Of My Life

Once You Wake Up There's No Way Back

Watching the houses of Parliament beginning to crack
Once you wake up there's no way back
Alarm bells will ring never again shall you sleep
It becomes harder to comply with corruption like good little sheep
You can see the world for what it really is with the veil lifted
Your perceptions change the ground you stand on has shifted
Follow that yellow brick road to the bottom of a rabbit hole
You are cosmically conscious with a heart spirit and soul

Say goodbye to greed farewell to fear
Let all anger and hatred disappear
With peer pressure gone you can cut yourself some slack
Once you wake up you never go back
You will never be a victim again
Things will never be the same

Newspapers are weapons with words that are declined to attack
Once you wake up there's no way back
Red flags are everywhere it was so obvious all along
The human race hates to admit we was fooled and we were wrong
There's more to life then money and playing the game
Maybe someday when we take responsibility and stop passing the blame
There's an eternal fire burning bright inside us all
Love can carry us over any bridge and knock down any wall

Say so long to slavery bye bye to barbarism
Slowly breaking the chains to escape the prison
Heading for the light far from this pitch black
Once you wake up you never go back
To the tragedy that came before
There's a key to get behind that locked door

No more take make throw away busy building a money stack
Once you wake up there's no way back
The fog will clear you will break on through to the other side
Without masters and a system to serve you have no need to hide
Putting flowers in guns protesting against the war machine
You will stand up to fascism and try to keep mother earth clean
No longer a name or a number waiting in line as part of the Que
There's no problems only solutions and endless possibility too
