The Backyard Of My Life

The Last Albatross

All farewells should be sudden
If something is sinking on the surface
It only means it gets much deeper inside
All life's little lessons come packed with a punch
Nothing easy is worth having
There's no such thing as a free lunch
Fed up of fake Plasticine people living in a virtual world
Slinging the biggest bucket loads of fear ever to be herald

Endless contradictions seem to echo round a senseless moon
Everybody's got a dirty mixed up mind with a heart of gold
Lost looking for dreams down at a river of suggestions
Always follow nobody and trust yourself
A man is only as good as his word
Sometimes even the strongest souls need a little help
So sick and tired of the establishments regulations and rules
They try keep us in a box for psychopaths and fools

With pretty persuasion we are right where we don't want to be
Under clouds of confusion brainwashed by the TV
Fighting phony wars for the wealthy who hate the poor
You can show someone the way but you cant take them through the door

All faith should to be questioned at least once a day
The only thing for certain is everything is unknown
After all I've seen countless conversations go round in circles
All important truths should always be self realized
So you can feel like waking up after you have been hypnotized
By the bittersweet seduction of fantasy
You cant get there from here so welcome to reality
The shadows on the wall
The shadows on the wall
The shadows on the wall
