ELUSIVELY

ELUSIVELY

Be still my inner rage
Just you lie in silence
I see you eloquent peace

Upon this thinning journey
Someone walks beside me
He is love and reckoning

And I but a tragic soul
Crawling inches forward
Upon crucified knees

My tongue is silenced
Only I hear its screams
That rise from my vessel

This carousel of life
Has been pre-written
And I but a glimmer

Inside the shimmering
I find his face and mine
We are submerged in grief

Where there is no relief
I rest with merciful hope
Dreaming of bliss and joy

… Elusively
