Without Warning

As I wake up in the morning,
I know they will come without warning.
Thought after thought just rushing into my head.
one on top of the other as if they are lead.

Where do they all come from, I wonder,
as I wait to hear the crash of thunder.
Will I ever be able to find the right one,
even after all is said and done.

Which one can I hold on to and use,
which one will keep me blue.
Now is it that one,
that through my mind does run.

Is it the one that to me brings doubt,
is it the one that at me does shout.
How will I ever know when they are coming again,
to have me wonder will I stay sane.
