Christ is the image of God,
Firstborn of all creation;
The unseen God that we laud,
That offers us salvation.
By Him all was created,
Both in Heaven and on earth;
That God is elated,
All creatures with given birth.
Whether thrones or dominions,
Either seen or as unseen;
Gathering for communions,
At the present and has been.
And He is before all things,
In Him all hold together;
All things consist of that brings,
In His house where we gather.
Of the body He is the head,
And who is the beginning;
As the firstborn of the dead,
Salvation who are sinning.
For all the fullness of God,
The Father is pleased to dwell;
In Him cure where one is flawed,
Makes them spiritually well.
Through Him as reconciled,
From the blood upon the cross;
Righteously undefiled,
As our gain from His loss.
