I urge those intercession prayers,
Supplications and thanksgiving;
Be for showing how much one cares,
For the Lord all, they are living.
For all those in authority,
That we may lead a peaceful life;
Dignified with tranquility;
And godliness without the strife.
This is good and it is pleasing,
In view of God our Savior;
Flowing blessings without ceasing,
Looking upon us with His favor.
He desires all people be saved,
And having knowledge of the truth;
No longer should sin be enslaved,
Never in becoming uncouth.
Because there is only one God,
Just one way between God and man;
Jesus who we honor and laud,
Mediator bridges the span.
He gave Himself as to redeem,
Testified at a proper time;
Made pure in the baptismal stream,
And confession of any crime.
I was appointed a teacher,
Someone to speak the truth of Christ;
To the Pagans as a preacher,
Enhancing them to be enticed.
