My Poetry

Hello Summer

Hello summer, you're here early
With humid weather and hot temps
Last year, you were later than now
Where are the thunderstorms?

The sunshine is nice to see
I love blue sunny skies
Where are you thunderstorms?
I hope you will come soon

I love when it pours down rain
And I love the sunshine too
I dislike the very hot temps
Warm breezy days are the best

I love it when you can sit in a chair
Right next to an open window
To feel the breeze that comes in
Even to just sit under a tree

I love watching the birds and squirrels
Squirrels playing and chasing one another
What a lovely time it is just to enjoy
Being outside to get fresh air

Hello summer, I hope you stay longer
Last year, it seemed you left early
I pray that the temps will be warm
For I do not like very hot temps

Hello summer, I hope you will stay mild
I love the 70 to 85 degree weather
Anything above that is too hot for me
I want to be outside more this year
