The Backyard Of My Life

There's Always A Light Somewhere In The Darkness

Waiting at the window watching the rain fall
When you feel like your heart its about to break
If the weight of the world is on your shoulders
Everything is broken the sky is painted black
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
Shinning like a crimson flame in solitude

Standing in the middle of your own personal privet hell
When you feel like you have lost all faith
If its all too much to take you tell yourself you cant carry on
Dreams seem shattered in a thousand pieces on the floor
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
A lonely little candle burning bright

Illuminating the voids of emptiness
Like a waterfall washing over you
Like moon beams on the river
Like sunshine melting the midnight hour

Sitting on the edge of tomorrow listening to the thunder
When you feel like your soul has been cut with a knife
If all that you love is taken and turned upside down
Everything your wishing for disappears in a cloud of smoke
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
A special spark of everlasting electricity

Walking down that twisted rocky road of life
When you feel like you are knocked out for the count
If the spiders web is weaved and you feel like you cant breathe
Every time your tongue tied left for dead and jaded
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
Waiting to surround the silhouettes and shadows
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
There's always a light somewhere in the darkness
