Command and teach these things,
Let nobody despise;
For what goodness Christ brings,
Be humbled and wise.
Set as an example,
Believers as you speak;
The love of the Gospel,
Of the faith they should seek,
Devote to the doctrine,
Exhort of what you read;
Properly discipline,
To those who is in need.
Do not neglect the gift,
Given through prophecy;
Inspire to uplift,
Against hypocrisy.
So practice these things,
Immerse yourself in them;
See the progress it brings,
So God does not condemn.
Keep ever vigilant,
Since evil does persist;
The days are turbulent,
In the ways that exist.
