A NOT-S0-SILLY ANTI-POETRY DITTY

the rain falls

in torrents as tears

and fills in the spaces

but doesn't quench

the prevading thirst

torrential rain

washes it all away from me

the piano, the picture frame

and the grandfather clock swim away

not having had any lessons

there's no place to put it

(those memories)

so mostly it uproots it all;

people and possessions and lifestyles

and anything that gets in its way

abhorrent portents of torrential rain

are the daily Oregon refrain

so...
