Reveries in the Rain
I find the solace when it rains,
a welcomed inspiration
to find that place, and with closed eyes,
drift off, in meditation.
Best traveled on those lazy days
wherever I have lain,
to let my mind go wandering
to the sound of falling rain.
The outside world does not exist
nor do the cares it brings.
The "mindscape" takes a restful flight
on rain-resilient wings.
