Still In The Game
I'm still in the game,
Not ready to leave.
Weary, but playing;
No ace up my sleeve.
Everything's blurry;
Not sure who I am.
I could be a lion,
Or maybe a lamb?
I'm still in the room,
And still in the game.
But changes have come,
And nothing's the same.
Rules are rewritten,
Then torn up again.
This contest is rigged
With hardship and pain.
My cards are not good,
But I can still win!
I've done it before.
I'll do it again!
You can't win them all,
But this hand is mine!
I'll give all I've got,
And it will be fine!
The curtain will fall
One day, without shame.
But until that time...
I'm still in the game!
