We give thanks to our God,
Constantly mentioned in prayer;
Praising to honor and laud,
Both the good and bad I share.
Remembering not ceasing,
Laboring in faith and love;
Determined hope increasing,
With blessings flowing thereof.
Knowing the brothers favored,
Of the election by God;
Having our past waivered,
Confessing from where once flawed.
Because our Gospel came,
Out of the Holy Spirit;
Full conviction to proclaim,
From the past our merit.
For you know what kind of men,
Are amongst you for your sake;
To be followers again,
Causing their soul to awake.
For you must receive the Word,
Having joy with affliction;
Implanting what you have heard,
Becoming an addiction.
For not only has the Lord,
That your faith has gone forward;
With being in one accord,
A Savior is acquired.
This manner of reception,
About turning back to God;
You must avoid deception,
An idol that is a fraud.
Wait for His Son from Heaven,
Who was raised up from the dead;
For the Salvation given,
Of the wrath coming ahead.
