He Himself is our peace,
Who has made us both as one;
Broke down the wall to release,
By bridging us through the Son.
Roadblocks of hostility,
Are abolished by the Law;
Creates hospitality,
Aids you when the Lord does call.
One body reconciled,
As both to God through the cross;
No longer as defiled,
Being cleansed by the blood loss.
He came and was preaching peace,
To those who were far and near;
Holiness that will not cease,
Giving praises to revere.
One Spirit to the Father,
Through Jesus we have access;
Calling Him our Brother,
Through confession, He will bless.
You are no longer strangers,
Rather fellow citizens;
Shielding us from the dangers,
Members and not aliens.
Built upon a foundation,
Of apostles and prophets;
Cornerstone of salvation,
A gift that one inherits.
A structure joined together,
For the Temple of the Lord;
A family to gather,
With being in one accord.
Built together in a place,
A habitation of God;
By the Spirit who shines grace,
All those who honor and laud.
