Jesus said:- They don't know
what they are doing- and
forgave those who crucified him.
To forgive is divine,
it is soothing to soul
and is calming to hurting
mind, body and heart.
Like acid, the corrosive
effect of things un-forgiven,
eats us inside our heart
and hurts us deep when
we remember the past.
Need to forgive is as strong
as the need to be forgiven.
Without forgiving the deed
that hurt us in the first time,
becomes cyclic and hurts us,
every time we remember it.
It gives bad taste in our mouth,
stomach churns and entire
body goes numb and weak.
It distorts our mind and heart,
drowns us into deep vortex of
extremely powerful negative,
destructive emotional forces.
The only way out is to forgive
and forget the entire thing,
that creates havocs in our life.
Easier said than done, it is
so hard to forgive and forget
totally and residual effect
is enough to ruin our lives.
If only we could follow Jesus
and learn how to forgive truly.
