The Backyard Of My Life

A Golden Ladder Up To The Moon

You can climb a golden ladder up to the moon
Sail on the seven seas in a paper boat with a silver spoon
Stand on top of the world and still never touch the sky
You can drown in the tears of a war child's eye

You can walk on diamond highways up to the sun
Faster then the speed of sound like the bullet from a gun
Sit on the throne at the universal theater of dreams
When you look beyond the veil and pull apart the seems

Maybe there's a message in a bottle
Out there somewhere waiting to be found
Lord don't let these wings fail me now
My feet wont touch the ground

You can float on up to the stars in a pretty balloon
Ride the wind through the clouds on a Sunday afternoon
Swim the deepest ocean and never see it all
You can see nirvana on the other side of the wall

You can climb a golden ladder up to heavens door
Searching for lost secrets answers and more
Travel to the edge of the galaxy gaze up on beauty and wonder
You know after every storm sunshine always follows thunder
