This Reality
Changing times have made such an impact on children
Now as adults the high cost of living have overwhelm them
Thing are not like like in those former years
They cannot now spend with them, this will bring such tears
But yes some parents live with such expectations
That their children would be their plan for those pensions
But then got alarmed at the startling revelation
That they are the ones who have to help out financially on occasions
Then there are children who are living in a different country
And shall not be possible to be present physically
That to social media, there is that partial filling of that emptiness
Tut that warm personal presence, brings completeness
Seeing such things parents must understand
That they should devise a form of healthy living plan
Exercising, better diet, and all that you can
As aging, weakness the chronic illnesses have that upper hand
Also too that nemesis the is more present in this era
Those two most occurring Alzheimer's and dementia
Then too as you watch those friends and loved one make that exit
This too brings such loneliness and great pain inflict
What a bad feeling after being so independent shall not condone
As it feels like punishment being in an old folks home
It may be hard to accept, but this is that stark reality
That the pressures of life have impacted those children's lives exponentially.
