Pay Up
Who in the working class got any to clutch
From that era of the well touted tax cut
The richer folks in their pocket got even more
But the masses nothing much if anything in their direction pore
As the great hype of more money would be around
And that to them the largesse will of course trickle down
What proof was there, as always based on a false premise
But of course the voter gets wooed by a promise
How they are taken advantage of, those on a minimum wage
As they need the work and and go to any stage
Even if they have to forego any union representation
And too take the chance of working in hazardous conditions
There is no doubt greed is there and that profit driven
And will fire unceremoniously if a loss is in the equation
But what is so startling to see in such a situation
That they are the one needing your vote, yes they are politicians
But what it is that make these people think because they are rich
That they should make money in a country and get off without any hitch
Amassing great profit off the backs of the working class
So what when it comes to paying taxes they should get a pass
One can see the may ways one can use to pay lower taxes
And the failure to close the loop hold due to administrative lapses
It just show the level of greed, and some spirit of entitlement
So try to rope in all, no one should be exempt
