How many of us take these heroes for granted
Rarely appreciate it until we are stranded
These brave souls sacrifice their lives
They help anyone in need, help them survive
How often do we thank them for protecting us
Always speeding to our rescue in a rush

Everyday these men and women put their lives on the line
To help us in need to make sure we are fine
Police, Fire and EMS to the rescue
Always there to serve and protect you
All the losses of their lives and their abilities
Affecting their co-workers and families
EVERYDAY HERO'S
Just take a minute of silence one day
Honoring our fallen heroes whose lives were taken away
Also pray for the living who has a future ahead
Showing respect for the living, not only the dead
Let's thank the living hero's a simple thing to do
They are protecting our future for me and you
