Corporate Politician
Can it be that we the voters the electorate
Will on hindsight realize that we mad mistakes
Of not demanding accountability from our politicians
Now that oversight have in some ways emboldened them
We have let ourselves become so very divided
Let that blind support that was always so one sided
So once they have such a level support in their favor
One would never see that change of course taken later
But as we now so divided began fighting each other
They have moved through and have gained some power
Alas they have now grown beyond this little matter
And have in the process aligned with a new type of master
There is no doubt that you tried, making small donations
But now to their campaigns some guys put in millions
Even though there can see and hear your cry for much help
You are deaf, as you are now firmly attached to the corporate belt
It seems now that some have spilled into that personal coffer
So now their welfare becomes the one that matter
And when the time comes, it's for them you must fight
Just to ensure that for them everything shall be right
Watch how much trouble occurs when a motion is on the floor
If for your welfare, see how many try to see it out the door
What is so surprising to see the level and intensity of those objecting
Forgetting party, ignoring us,their own special interest protecting
Now it is quite blatantly clear the level of corporate greed
Who to their every wish the representative seem forced to accede
They were never interested in the the needs of us the masses
And shall do nothing to improved our circumstances.
