The Season
How quickly this season has come around
The season of Christmas taken over the town
Driving by on the streets one can see by such a sight
Trees, fences and varandas all decorated with colourful light
Those many charitable organizations are very busy
As they raise funds to buy food go or the needy
Like a raffle and offer an attractive cash prize
This certainly would be temptation to many eyes
And the stores in them this spirit they cannot contain
That glee to attract the shoppers by attractive bargains
Those discounts, check out prizes all in the pot
Another attraction is to add some cash to the lot
Also too outside the temperature seems to drop
Making it so conducive to those who want to shop
And too this creates that feel which is so right
To sit outside or just walk around just enjoying the night
There is nothing like moving around just enjoying the sound
Hearing and even the seasons appropriate music sound
So captivated it is hard to resist the urge to sing
The child in you come out, it is something this season brings
My mind flash back to my childhood Christmas time
Things were very tough but we were always fine
Nobody find time to compare, but there was a whole lot of sharing
How we then as they are now looked forward to something of our liking
