~Thy Own Self~
There is an old wise saying:
That we are are our own
Worst Enemies from day to day...
There is a friend of mine
That does not agree with me
That I am my own worst enemy...
She has not seen how
Hard I get on myself
When something goes wrong
Rather because of me
Or because of something
I actually said or did....
Apparently some say
That you are a good woman
You just have a good policy.
Those that do not know Thy Own Self
Still have soul searching they must do.
When you seek to know the real you
You have to be honest with yourself.
Knowing thy own self one has to realize
What creates their own happiness.
One has to realize that knowing thy own self
May come with a cost if you will.
That cost of knowing thy own self
May very well be at a price
All depending on how one is raised.
Thy own self comes from within
We all should take the time to
Truly know thy own selves
For we are truly better people when we do.
