The Backyard Of My Life

Broken Hearts Hurt More Then Broken Bones

You can put back together the pieces of a broken heart
The cracks and scars still remain the hurt wont go away
Memories will run back and forth two and fro in your mind
It burns like fire endless night none stop rain
You cant eat you cant sleep you cant think straight
You will feel so low like your down at the bottom

Only love can tear a heart apart into shreds shattered like broken Glass
Get you down on your knees and crawling the walls
Saying and doing things you would never dream of
Its crazy and maybe its not like you
You can try to forget but you will always remember
The little things you said and did for each other

Pleasure and pain walk hand in hand
Love is complicated and sometimes hard to understand
Broken hearts hurt more then broken bones
Teardrops in a sea of sorrow like sinking stones
Wash up in the waves of hope on to the shore
Love is always the answer the key to the door

You can try to fill the hole in the ditch of a broken heart
You can cry a river and drown by the banks of your own misery
Nothing can cut so deep as feelings and emotions
It hurts like hell when you lose someone so close to you
You can only wish for the torture to be over
You can only carry the burden and pray tomorrow is a better day

Only love can move us to joy despair darkness and light
Life is short so always take the time to make Amen's
Everybody i ever hurt i did not do it knowingly
It stings it aches it breaks it boils my blood
To think that somebody else is suffering in the cold lonely night
Waiting wishing for the sunshine after the storm
Broken hearts hurt more then broken bones
