Life's Verses

Older Than That Now

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

I could drink all nIght long,
Work until night's song,

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

I could take a one hour nap,
Only eat one meal a day,

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

I could do this again and again,
For weeks on end,

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

I could battle the desert's wind,
And that's no small feat my friend,

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

I could curse at the coyote,
I would stare down a billy goat,

When I wore a younger man's clothes,

Those days are all long gone,
And sometimes I reminisce to long,

About…..

When I wore a younger man's clothes.
