In The Sanctuary Of My Head

some days I feel

the universe

is mostly harmless

like a snake is only slightly poisonous

my solution

is to plant a secret garden in my mind

so I'll  always have a place

to go to

to smell my favorite flowers

simple things

are like balloons

making your life rise

to a spiritual level

where you can defrag

replant your soul

I want my Eden back

and I want to populate it

with all the people I miss

and the animal-friends I've lost

and with those who have yet to be

part of my bliss

all human life needs light

and hope

the best soil to grow in

is filled with the nutrient

called love

and self-love

I'm replanting that garden of my youth

in my mind

Eden's coming back

even if you can't visit it

on the street

it will always exist here

in the sanctuary of my head.
