AFTERMATH

WHAT DO I BELIEVE

WHAT DO I BELIEVE?
All the beliefs I grew up with everyday.
Their all being challenged in everyway.
My Sunday services I would pray knell and bow.
As a kid I wanted to be a priest, not so sure now.
For me hearing about the priest and nun's abuse
The mistreatment of indigenous children there's no excuse
Now finding mass graves of children under ground
No markers to put a name to these children all around
Then next big story about pedophile priest now that's wrong.
No punishment just transferred and moved on.
Every time I think it can't much worse.
New horror stories coming out feels like a curse.
My poor grandma would be rolling in her grave.
To hear of priest and nuns how badly they misbehaved
Grant it though there are still good ones in the church.
Lots still around to find if I start my search.
I still believe in God and all the saints.
So many terrible stories the church get's paint
I still need to see a good priest to talk.
I need his advice, I don't want to just walk
WHAT DO I BELIEVE?
