The Backyard Of My Life

Sally The Junkie Whore

Sally's a junkie whore melting her blood
Sleeping at a cheep motel
Red neon lights outside her window
Flicker and flash in the dark through the glass
Every night a million men come and go
Taking everything giving nothing
Its too late to say sorry the damage is done

Sally lays naked on the bed so nonchalant
With a devotion to keep on surviving
Never shedding a tear but sometimes
She screams into her pillow
Searching for deeper meaning
Wondering where it all went wrong
When she was a young girl
She wanted to be a ballet dancer
Her dreams disappeared in a puff of white smoke
Along with her future down the dirty drain

Sally's so sick and tired of living
In a rats nest of miseries
Needles narcotics and Colombian coke
Never knowing who to turn to in times of trouble
Her beautiful blue eyes bruised and black
For every time she told the truth
For every time she answered back

Sally says shes always been the underdog
Her life has been one long hangover
With track marks down her arms and scars on her soul
Wearing the perfume of pain and defeat
Like heavy iron chains hanging around her neck
After another long night of been treated like something
Somebody stepped in and scrapped off a shoe
After another miserable morning alone and broken
She took a long hard look in the bathroom mirror
She told her self she was no longer a slave to loneliness
