 A New Woman

It was our final summer
I was a little girl
Me and dad both poking fun at each other
Him laughing at how the geeze chased me
I told him to stop poking me on my bottom with a stick
He laughed so hard because it was a greedy geese
1st of April he was gone 1997
Then mum our final summer I remember we were in the cab
Boys were drunk and singing to me
She found it funny and told me had I got a secret toyboy
The cab driver blamed us when he locked himself out of his own cab
Then we went to the park to get ice cream
We would sit and watch TV and joke about silly things
You pass away in my arms April 1st 2023
1997 and 2023 all numbers add up to 33
You are the two life partners
Truly created from each others rib and why you pass away on the same day I don't know
Or why it's during really holy months I'd know because I always said no hearts were purer than your hearts combined
Rest my darlings we will be okay and meet you there soon
All 6 of your kids adore you
Your 23 grandkids love you
Your 2 great grandkids will treasure the stories forever
The unborn will learn from the shared wisdom x
