I am an Engineer, a Scientist, a Musician and a Painter
I do not think I am a poet. It is true, I do write poems
But I truly feel in my heart, that I'm not really a poet.
A poet will be dedicated to writing poems and proudly
Declare that s/he is a poet and tell friends and family
About the creation of his/her poetry and being happy.
I studied poetry in school and University in English
Gujarati, Hindi and Sanskrit and was impressed by
Sanskrit composition of poetry to suit the seasons.
Gujarati and Hindi are derived from Sanskrit and have
similar poetry composition rules to Sanskrit poetry.
Compared to that, English rules are simple and easy.
Despite all this, I never felt like a poet and now
Not many friends and relatives know I write poetry.
Because I have hardly told them that I write poetry.
Now you know why I do not feel that I am a poet.
