It is natural to be inhumane
And to be humane is a virtue.
Nature has no limit to the cruelty
and humans have mastered
the ways to be very cruel,
not just to the other creatures
but also cruel to each other.
We would like to think we are
So kind and considerate to
All the creatures great and small
And also to each other but
Close self-examination will show
True inhumanity underneath
The mask of humanity we have.
In the widespread inhumanity
it's a virtue to be humane.
