THE FAN , AT NIGHT, GIVES GOOD ADVICE completely re-edited, an entirely different poem

THE WIND IN THE FAN ADVISES
I NEED TO WRITE
NOT SLEEP
SLEEP IS NOT WITHIN MY GRASP

ITS GENTLE WHIR
ENCOURAGES ME ON
TOWARDS THE KEYS
GO ON
ASK YOUR HEART
WHAT IT NEEDS

LET SAD THOUGHTS BLEED
AND HARD THOUGHTS BLEED
LEAVE ME
AND POISON MY MIND NO MORE

THE FAN WHISPER-WHIRS:
I AM THE WIND
AND I WILL CARRY YOU
TO A BETTER BOWER
TO LULLABY YOUR SOUL

NO NEED TO ASK
WHO AND WHAT IS
THE WIND
ITS ALREADY THERE
YOUR ANSWER

THERE IN HOW
YOU TUCK YOUR ARMS AROUND YOU
AT NIGHT
WHILE I SING MY SONGS OUTSIDE
YOUR WINDOW
I LIVE WITHIN
YOUR BREAST AND IN THAT ITCHING
OF YOUR ARMS
YOU WANT TO FLY
LOSE YOUR FEAR OF THE GROUND
FROM UP ABOVE

YES I'VE THE COURAGE OF FORGETTING
THE STRENGTH
SOME KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
TO MOVE ALONG

SHOULD I SINK INTO MYSELF
AND SIGH
I MIGHT LOSE MYSELF

I GIVE THE FAN MY GRATITUDE
AND AM REMINDED I CAN BE THE WIND
I DON'T NEED TO KNOW WHERE IT COMES FROM
I ONLY NEED TO KNOW
IT EXISTS
AND IS HERE WAITING FOR ME.
