NEED A PLACE TO STAY

NEED A PLACE TO STAY

Fifty more miles and I'm on my way.
Hard to believe I have been driving all day.
Hope the doctor does not mind that I took his car.
Well have not seen a cop so far.
As darkness descends upon my daylight
Whisking away my eyesight
So many times, I hear oh no here comes that old man again.
A lot of years have gone by since I began.
Thank God I am almost there.
Lately life has been so unfair.
Oh, good, a motel just down the road I see.
Then call my friends to tell them where I'll be.
Wait till I tell them I left the retirement home.
I can move in with them then no need to Rome.
That stupid hospital complains about me.
Just because all I need to do is pee.
It's not my fault they keep moving the bathrooms.
So, I find empty closets in empty rooms.
The only complaint from me is there is no toilet paper.
Just bed sheets and curtains to clean myself is a good absorber.
The doctors want to put a diaper on me.
No way I am not a baby, just wait and see.
Oh! Oh! Just messed up my pants
Doctors just want to rant.
Hope the motel has curtains in case there is no bathroom.
If they don't have a toilet, I don't need that gloom.
Dear friends, please take me in, I need a place to stay.
I promise I will not get in your way.
