IS THERE LEAD IN YOUR PENCIL
IS THERE LEAD IN YOUR PENCIL
A question that I was asked at my age.
My answer is always the same, it is hard to gauge.
You know people as long as I'm able.
I would check all the time, even at the kitchen table.
I was never shy; you must understand.
Even when my company was visiting, I put it in my hand.
I would check out my amount of lead as a man
To prove my lead, I could show off my amount instead.
I had to prove my manhood by my amount of lead
My company was in shock, but now they understand
At first, they wanted to see what they would demand.
Be proud of your pencil to show it off.
While in my hand I didn't even cough
I am now working on my new book.
I got great ideas, just to see how it would look.
Thank God for my pencil sharpener.
Keep my pencil sharp, that works better.
