A Tribute To Schindler.
Schindler has inspired me…
To write this special rhyme,
For he was a very special man,
A man so good and fine!
He cared about the Jews,
And he saved many a life,
If at all he could do it,
He kept man with his wife!
He risked his life many a time,
Was even thrown in jail,
But his ‘friends' from higher up,
Got him out on bail!
All the Germans thought him soft,
For having a caring heart,
They made sure they bribed him well,
So with gifts, Schindler had to part!
He was very clever,
Outwitted all the Reich,
Kept his Jews in his factory,
They even stayed at night!
If word got to him,
That a Jew was being harmed,
Schindler would be there,
Couldn't show he was alarmed.
He was a Catholic man,
Who wouldn't turn away!
From the Jewish people's plight,
So he risked his life each day!
He was a fine man,
With caring heart,
That he couldn't save more…
Broke his heart!
But yes! He has saved many,
And this the Jewish people know,
And to this day, to Schindler's grave,
The Jewish people go!
