The One Thing You Couldn't Make Yours

On The Way To Me

All That Matters Most

Disaster

Poetry Poem

A False Surrender That Wasn't

Scarred

Bearing a soul
Scattered and scarred,
Sometimes I wake at night
And there it lies
Spread across the floor
Completely exposed,
Totally vulnerable
Crying all it holds.

Another scar appears
With each tear that falls
And it's all I can do
Not to scream
"STOP, can't you see
How you ruin yourself?"
But I just sit there
Listening to it whimper
And watch my soul
Until it finally shatters
And cries no more.
