A place to go when things become tense, a quiet little corner where I sit and read as my mind becomes intense; head buried in a book, to pass away the time.
Music plays softly, as I relax in paradise, where the conversation flowed endlessly and the cookies taste really nice. A place to find romance over a mug of vanilla latte given half the chance.
The aroma of coffee beans fills the air and children laugh, while drinking orangeade. A boy smiles at me, as the sunlight catches his face. On the table next to me, a young couple engage in intimate conversation, while a half eaten cinnamon biscuit vanishes without trace.
In the Coffee shop Americana I relax and watch the world go by. Sipping my cappuccino, with a coconut biscuit on my plate. I sit and stare up at the deep blue sky. People come and go, same old faces, from different places; accustomed to the atmosphere of the coffee bean traces.
In the Coffee shop Americana, I pass away the time. As I reflect on my life in tranquility, and read my book with words in it that rhyme.
