Keeping it Real

The silence was so thick it was strangling me making it damn near impossible to breathe

This was a serious matter and jokes wasn't the antiseptic needed to relief the pain

Our eyes met and our tears blinded us both

We tried to hold the tears back like security maintaining a mob at a MJ concert or a KKK rally met by some real niggas

But our will was no match for the rage of our tears

Our hearts burst with stinging tears like a wino with too much liquor on her stomach

How can I prevent the hangover?
How do I make this a growing experience?

Just be real
And tell her I hurt too
And this
Is
Good for our souls

Daddy loves you baby girl
