Your Promises
If I didn't have all the promises
that are written in your word,
today would be the kind of day
this child would crumble and fold.
It's a day that although the sun is
shining, all I see is gray,
no matter how many tears I cry
my pain won't go away.
My problems are all around me
their determined to see me drown,
I'm trusting in your promises
to lift me to higher grown.
And though the storm is fiercer
then it has ever been before,
I can feel my Jesus carrying me
to a calm safer shore.
So I'm trusting in your promises
and leaning on your love,
and I'm waiting on your powerful
strength to help from up above.
Your Promises
