A Home Without The Father

A Home Without The Father

I am a warrior a single mother
My only munitions fasting and prayers
Often times the world is unkind
Those we trust and love the most leave us behind

When friends asked me how do you find peace of mind?
Raise alone a family of three when the father is not around
With so much to do how do you find strength and time
How does one fill two shoes upside down?

My answer to them honestly and very simply
I do it the only way it can be done on my knees
The burdens way too much for me
To see to their needs more then I can bear

The love in my heart and soul shows me how and where
More to life then what meet the eyes
Much higher power that guides us day and night
He shows me how my guiding light

Standing strong in faith firmly on his word
I will move for you heaven and earth
He his provider my shelter!
When it's too hard to look down I look up wards
For all the answers, fears seems to fade
He his the rock I lean and rely on, my hiding place

His love and amazing grace each day sufficient for me
How and why I am never alone nor defeated he hears my plea
To go through life's ups and down with a smile on my face
No matter the task the curve ball life throws my way
I have an assurance on home base
God who sees all will catch it and carry me to victory
