Mothers Day Forever Forgotten

It's mothers day today,
I'm sure you know.
I have a rose and a hug for you.
They will wilt away, just like your love.
I hold your small framed picture,
Looking in the eyes of the woman I resemble most,
I remember the day your got ready for the pose.
You asked me,
"Should I wear the pink dress and matching hair band?"
I can not remember any mothers day with you.
I think I pushed the memory away.
I wonder if you think about me right now.
I know you have to.
Its not easy to forget your children.
I know you hate me, but I wanted you to know I love you.
