M's Poetry
Now
You are not the same
but neither am I
I feel closer to you
than I ever have
over time I think we grew to know each other
there is nothing that makes me smile
more than you telling me you missed me
I think finally everything is okay
daddy now
We can't get the time back
but now I don't want to even try
it's having you here now
that brings joyful tears to my eyes
and finally we both can smile
now after the storm clouds are gone
we are standing here
all alone but with conversation and laughter
it turns out we are more alike than we ever knew
after the world tried to keep us apart
we know now we were in each other's hearts
now is all that counts
now is all we have.
