When first upon the scene of life
our hands our stretched out wide
Grasping everything in reach
the fragile things our parents hide
And as the years crawl by
the things we see and do
The list of what we want in life
becomes infinite as morning dew
As the age of adulthood grasps us
our wants are modified and changed
We still carry the dream of things
if only our budgets would rearrange
We but tickets for the lottery
and a trip to Los Vegas too
All for the elusive dreams
of the things we want to do
Yet, we never look at the faces
that enrich our lives each day
The funny play upon their words
that can lighten a stressful stay
The support and love they always share
and the drying of all of our tears
The words of hope while in despair
trying to create something new and dear
So I look upon the moments of life
and the things I never achieve
But,I see I really am a success
for I have someone who really loves me.
