HEAR THE CHILDREN CRYING
OR ARE THEIR CRIES IN VAIN
HAVE WE LOST ALL SENSE
OR BECOME SO NUM SO DENSE
THE CHILDREN SPEAK NO ONE HEARS
THEY GO UN NOTICED AS THEY FEAR
WHERE'S THE TENDERED HEARTED
HAVE THEY ALL GROWN COLD
HOW LONG MUST THEY CRY
HAVE WE BECOME SO SELFISH SO BOLD
THEY ARE THE WORLD OUR FUTURE
OUR ANGELS HERE ON EARTH
PLACED IN OUR CARE TO NURTURE
TO LOVE AND CARE FOR
WHERE HIS THE FATHER'S HANDS
AND THE MOTHER'S HEARTS
CALLED TO COMFORT AND PROTECT
THEY ARE THE WORLD OUR FUTURE
THEY NEED OUR GUIDANCE
WE MUST FOR THEM TAKE A STAND
WHAT WE DO TODAY
WILL DECIDE FOR THERE TOMORROW
IF WE TURN THE OTHER WAY
AND PRETEND NOT TO SEE OR HEAR
THEIR PAIN AND FEARS THEIR CRIES
WON'T JUST FADE AWAY
ANY TEARS THAT WE CAN SPARE THEM
ANY FEARS AND EVIL THAT WE CAN KEEP
FAR FROM REACH TO BE THEIR SHIELD
THEY LOOKED AT ALL WE DO FOR COMFORT
WE MUST NOT LET THEIR DREAMS BE SHATTERED
LET THEM KNOW THOUGH OUR WORLD ISN'T PERFECT
WE DO CARE AND LOVE THEM
ENOUGH TO STAND AND ALWAYS PROTECT
God bless the heart of those standing for the children
Who go out of their way to denounce evil actions?
AND PROTECT THEIR INNOCENCE
