Dear Heart.
My heart is weeping lonely tears
For all the lost and empty years.
The dreams I had, all faded now
No reason to go on somehow.
I failed in life to reach my goal
And never now will I be whole.
Each sorrow chipped away a part
Of you my old and aching heart.
`Till now instead of joy I feel
Only pain that can not heal.
You heart cared, but now impaired
With hurt to awful to be bared
To other souls who can not see
That you`re not what they think
You`re me.
With all the faults of humankind
Regrets for things you left behind.
Like youth and people loving you
The future is not ours to see.
If I had known how you`d be judged
By those who said they gave their love
I would have walked away, not stayed
To watch you heart be so betrayed.
Somehow back then you had to lose
Predestined? not what you would choose.
It`s over now, you`ll search in vain
You can not start your life again.
For if you could you know I would
Protect you from the tears.
