I had a dream the other night
I was walking towards a bright bright light
My eyes were blind I had no sight
Because of the brilliance of the light
I felt a presence by my side
A voice soft spoken said
Fear not my son don't run don't hide
For I am sent to be your spirit guide
Now don't be scared
Just take my hand and I will lead you
To the Promised Land
Turn your back and walk away
Your time it ends on earth this day
The tears they came it felt unkind
To leave the ones I loved behind
We walked and walked to my journeys end
To me the spirit was like a long lost friend
I was amazed at what lay before me
In splendor a beautiful garden in all its glory
Every type of tree and flower
Every creature great and small
There was so much to look at
I could not believe it all
Seeing the spirit the one who took my hand and guided me
As I walk around his garden while he smiles and talks to me
This man with so much love and wisdom
