I was her lover for more than ten years
the joy and excitement out weighing the fears
of being discovered in our secret life
for she had a husband and I had a wife

we came together body and soul
two scattered lives made suddenly whole
I just don't believe there ever could be
a love so complete as my lover and me

the stresses and strains finally forced us apart
we opted for friendship and made a fresh start
but now when we meet I can't help but see
her beautiful body cuddled naked to me.

we were lovers for more than ten years.
